DING! DONG!

Saya suka bermain ding-dong, dulu. 

Ketika itu uang jajan saya hanya sebesar Rp.100,- per hari. Dan untuk bermain ding-dong, saya harus merelakan diri untuk tidak bersilaturahmi kepada ibu kantin selama 6 hari. Di akhir minggu, duit yang terkumpul cukup untuk memuaskan diri selama beberapa jam di tempat ding-dong.

Sebut saja Golden Axe, 1942, Street Fighter, Captain Commando, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, dan banyak game yang saya lupa namanya. Ini lah yang bertanggung jawab akan habisnya duit jajan saya selama seminggu. 

Semua permainan di tempat ding-dong bisa dijelaskan dengan sangat sederhana. Kamu punya koin, bermain, jika beruntung dalam permainannya, kita bisa mendapatkan bonus nyawa extra.  Nyawa extra ini bisa kita gunakan untuk bermain apabila kita mati. Lucunya, game-game di ding-dong ini biasanya tidak ada habisnya. Begitu selesai menamatkan, kita akan dibawa kembali ke awal permainan. Gameplaynya akan tetap sama, namun dengan tingkat kesusahan yang lebih tinggi. Apabila semua nyawa dan nyawa extra telah habis, permainan akan selesai. 

Namun tunggu, masih ada kesempatan jika kamu belum bosan.

So what is it about this ding-dong stuff and shit. Nothing, it just i dont find any good  prologue to declare a war to my new hated phrase, “ITS COMPLICATED“. It really pissed me off when people talking about how complicated “ITS COMPLICATED” is, especially when it comes to explain a love relationship.

“We don’t want each other anymore, but it just don’t over. It’s complicated deh”. Blah! Pemikiran macam apa ini. When it comes to relationship, there’s no “ITS’ OVER”. Relationship, once its started, it will never be ended, i repeat NEVER. It only transform from love-love, love-hate, hate-hate (or other combination, you decided), It’s not complicated at all. There are things out there that more complicated than your relationship.

Think about this:

1. Pilkada Surabaya it’s more complicated than your relationship. It’s so complicated it makes you don’t care about it.
2. Global Crisis is more complicated than your relationship. It’s so complicated it makes you don’t want to know about it and keep buying stuff from another country.
3. “How does rain happen” is more complicated than your relationship, It’s so complicated it makes you want to skip the geography class.
4. Metamorphosis is more complicated than your relationship, It’s so complicated it makes you got 5 in your biology test.
5. “Kemanakah Bajaj akan berbelok” is more complicated than your relationship, It’s so complicated it makes only two person that know where will it go, God and Supir Bajaj..
6. “Ngurus NPWP” is more complicated than your relationship. It’s so complicated it makes you dont want to have one.
7. Gay thing and stuff like that are compl… oh wait, that is not my teritory and i don’t want to comment about it.

So stop whinning about  “ITS COMPLICATED”, as a matter of fact, stop using that phrase, start it from now. Because it really pissed me off and i dont mind to kungfu-kick your jaw when i see you whine about it.

Anyway, i really want to buy my self a ding-dong console, yes i’m talking about that big ding-dong box. I’m gonna put it in my room, for the sake of old time.

Mari menghitung jarak

Hello, it’s me again, and it’s time to write a review about a song that really hook into my ear in this last 24 hours. Since the infamous “umbrella-ela-ela-ela” by the Caribbean boner bait (not to be confused with Captain Jack Sparrow, i know he make some of you turn-on too, you fags! :p), who dissapointed most of indonesian fans with her cancelled tour, there’s no other songs that came into my loop-ad-infinitum playlist. Yes, I’m talking about Madonna’s new single “Miles Away“.

Okay, lets continue. “Miles Away” is a catchy song. Quite different from “Umbrella”, this is not annoying-in-the-beggining-but-in-the-end-hanging-in-your-head-for-god know-how-long-songs. Infact the guitar riff on the opening of the song is really nice (I do hope Madonna release the acoustic version of this songs). Then, a stuttering beat drops in the track slowly (remind me of timbaland beat). Everything run smooth till it’s all filled with atmospheric pop synths.

This song is telling a story of long distance relationship or taking someone for granted probably, depend on how you interpret or relate it. The lyric, awesome. It goes like this:

I just woke up from a fuzzy dream
You never would believe those things that I had seen
I looked in the mirror and I saw your face
You looked right through me, you were miles away

All my dreams they fade away
I’ll never be the same
If you could see me the way you see yourself
I can’t pretend to be someone else

Then with her shinning vocal, Madonna really hook my ears with the reffrain.

You’re not afraid to tell me, miles away
I guess we’re at our best when we’re miles away

The songs continue with more melancholy lyric

When no one’s around then I have you here
I begin to see the picture, it becomes so clear

And in the end of the songs, the unmistakable echoes: “So far away, So far away, So away far”. Perfect! This songs is remind me of her earliest work, and i really recommended it for those of you who really miss Madonna’s spirit and sound in 1980’s (well its also recommended for you who have that pain in the ass relationship called LDR hehehehe). Listen to this songs and i promise you, that it wont get out of your head in a hurry.

Useless fact:

Waktu pertama kali denger liriknya, aku langsung mencari tahu 6000 mil itu berapa kilometer yah? dengan online conversion google aku tau kalo ternyata   6000 mil = 9656.064 kilometer. Yah ternyata jauh dari jarak Jakarta – Surabaya yang cuma 725 km (seperti tertulis di stasiun pasar turi). Nah sekarang mari berhitung:

A. 9 + 6 + 5 + 6 + 0 + 6 + 4 = 36
B. 3 + 6 = 9
C. 7 + 2 +5 = 14
D. 9 + 14 = 23 binggo

iTunes 8

Tiga hari belakangan ini saya lagi seneng bermain main dengan iTunes 8, Digital musik player versi terbaru ini mempunyai dua feature yang saya suka.

Tampilan Cover yang sepertinya mengadopsi iPhoto ini lebih menyenangkan ketimbang CoverFlow.

Genius:

Ini playlist yang diciptakan oleh genius, berdasarkan lagu Wait and Bleed oleh Slipknot. Pretty Impressing.

Genius ini sebenarnya hampir mirip dengan feature sidebar iLike. Hanya dengan memilih satu lagu, genius dapat membuat playlist yang setype dengan lagu yang kita pilih. Untuk mengaktifkan Genius, tentu saja harus memiliki account di apple store. (yang tentu saja dapat anda dapakan tanpa harus menggunakan credit card). Namun untuk beberapa lagu sepertinya Genius tidak dapat membuat playlist nya. Seperti lagunya The Beatles. Don’t know why. Yah, Begitulah.
